It gives me great satisfaction and joy knowing that my work will aid in providing the gift of sight to someone.

My perfect day at work would involve a gemba walk around the operations facility, greeting my colleagues, responding to morning emails, reviewing action items, conducting time studies, analyzing data, developing recommendations for process improvements, facilitating a successful project plan, and sharing this experience with the amazing team.

  • Announcing the NEW 6.25mm OASIS® Iris Expander

    by System Administrator | Aug 20, 2013

This molded polypropylene ring is proven effective for pupil dilation and available now through OASIS Medical Inc.

    Aug 20, 2013

Glendora, CA – OASIS Medical Inc., manufacturer and distributor of high quality disposable surgical instruments and ocular lubricating and cleansing solutions, introduces the new 6.25mm OASIS Iris Expander. This device is used for expanding insufficiently dilated pupils during ophthalmic surgery and sustaining visibility throughout the procedure.

The new 6.25 Iris Expander meets the demands of surgeons performing complicated cataract, vitreoretinal, and other ophthalmic procedures. Once inserted the molded polypropylene ring has four pockets that cradle the delicate ocular tissue without pinching or clamping for an unimpeded view during the surgical procedure and easy removal without potential tearing. Once the expander is removed the iris returns to its normal shape and function.

The OASIS Iris Expander is also used to manage floppy iris syndrome (IFIS), which commonly can complicate cataract surgeries.

“OASIS is committed to offering relevant solutions for eye care professionals.” said Craig Delgado, President of OASIS Medical Inc. “We help support the needs and growth of surgical practices by offering tools for improved patient care and optimal results.”

The Iris Expander is packaged sterile with an inserter and comes with five single-use units per box. For more information, please contact OASIS Customer Service at 800-528-9786 or visit the website at www.oasismedical.com.

  • Feather® New Diamond-like Keratomes Are Available Exclusively From OASIS Medical

    by System Administrator | Apr 24, 2013

The ultra-sharp scalpels are positioned to be a cost-effective alternative for ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) and hospitals.

    Apr 24, 2013

Glendora, CA – OASIS Medical Inc., U.S. manufacturer and distributor of high quality disposable surgical instruments, ocular lubricating and cleansing solutions, and exclusive distributor in the U.S. for the Feather® ophthalmic scalpels, announces the availability of thediamond-like Feather® keratome. Feather® raises the bar with its keratome’s superior performance and advantage of reusability for a sizeable return on investment.

Feather® utilizes proprietary manufacturing technology that produces ultra-sharp, low friction blade performance that rival diamonds. It has earned a reputation for high quality metal scalpels that can be used multiple times, which helps to manage cost-per-case while maintaining compliance with Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) regulations.

"The primary cataract incision is the most important to the ease of the procedure and overall outcome. The new Feather keratome produces a smooth, precise entry to the anterior chamber with no drag or concern of catching Descemet's membrane." said Adelaide Priester, D.O., "The reusable blades are cost effective in our surgery center [ASC] and perform well for multiple procedures, which greatly reduces our cost per case."

    The new Feather® keratome blades are available in widths from 1.4mm, 1.6mm, 1.8mm, 2.2mm, 2.4mm, 2.75mm, 2.8mm, 3.0mm, and 3.2mm.
